The American Mercury produced two new videos for The Public Policy institute of California: The Colorado River Water System and Protecting Headwaters.
After five years of drought both systems show intense stress: astonishing tree dies offs across vast stretches of the Sierra and historic low flows of the Colorado River forcing significant hardship on agriculture, the Salton Sea, and the Colorado River Delta.
The newest videos are part of a suite of programs, “that provide essential water facts and offer constructive approaches to the state’s top water challenges.” With landscape images captured across the state, historical photos and dynamic motion graphics, the videos effectively communicate complex ideas to a broad audience. All eight videos are showcased in the PPIC’s Water Policy Center’s website: http://www.ppic.org/water/
