Project Description
Sharing Butte Creek
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Sharing Butte Creek is a short video produced for the California Rice Commission and The Northern California Water Association. It chronicles the history and transformation of the Butte Creek Watershed – an agricultural area in the Northern Sacramento Valley. Sharing Butte Creek pays tribute to the the visionary efforts of national, state, and local interests who formed unlikely partnerships to reactivate flood plains and restore populations of Spring-run Chinook Salmon. The extraordinary success of the 30-year effort is the best example of Reconciliation Ecology anywhere in the nation.
